Extension of the Call for Candidates for the Board of Directors for the 17th Election

 Dear Sir or Madam

 In this cold spring season, I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation for your continued support of the activities of the Japanese Pharmacokinetics Society. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of our activities.

 In the election for the 17th term, eleven (11) Directors (a majority of between 17 and 20) will be elected by the votes of the Delegates from among candidates recommended by themselves, nominated by others, and recommended by the Director and the Director Candidate Selection Committee Chairpersons.

 Delegates are therefore asked to nominate candidates for the Board of Directors or to recommend suitable candidates for the Board of Directors in accordance with the following guidelines.

 Both self-recommendations and recommendations must be received by March 31, 2021 (Wednesday) ( postmarked by that date).

 We ask that both self- and other-nominations be sent by March 31, 2021 ( Wed. ) (postmarked on the same day) April 14, 2021( postmarked on the same day ).

Due to the extension of the call for applications, the schedule for the following days has been changed as shown in red.

Election of Director of the Japanese Pharmacokinetics Society
Notes on Candidate Notification and Election

  1. Candidates must submit a Notification of Candidacy (Form 1) with their name, age, and affiliation, and seal, along with the reason for their candidacy, a statement of belief (approximately 400 words), and a brief biography (approximately 1 A4 sheet).
  2. When a candidate is to be nominated, submit a candidate nomination form (Form 2 or 3) with the names and affiliations of the nominees (3 delegates: Form 2, 1 director: Form 3), their signatures and seals, the reason for the nomination (about 400 characters), and a brief biography of the candidate (about 1 A4 sheet). The candidate’s brief biography (about 1 A4 sheet) should be attached to the nomination form. The nomination shall be preceded by confirmation of the nominee’s intention. Both candidates and nominees must be under 65 years of age at the time of taking office (as of November 18, 2021, the date of the next Annual Meeting of the JSCPA).
  3. Candidates for the Board of Directors shall be selected from among the delegates eligible for election ( see the website of the Society ).
  4. Notification of candidacy or nomination of candidates must be submitted to the Secretariat by Wednesday, March 31, 2021 ( postmarked by that date).
  5. Voting by delegates will be conducted via the web by the deadline of May 7, 2021 (Fri.).
  6. The Election Committee will conduct the vote count in May 2021.
  7. The term of office of directors will be in accordance with Article 31 “Term of Office of Directors” of the Articles of Incorporation.

Please note that the submitted “Reasons for candidacy and statement of position (about 400 characters)” and “Reasons for nomination (about 400 characters)” will be made public to the delegates for their reference during the voting.
