Overview
In recent years, the number of targets that are difficult to control with small molecules has been increasing, and the number of candidate compounds that fall outside the “rule of five” (i.e., have poor physical properties) has been increasing. These compounds often have kinetic characteristics that cannot be expressed by in vitro systems, which have been utilized for small molecules, and new translational research methods are required. Therefore, this DIS will focus on translational research using in vivo evaluation and mathematical model analysis using model animals (genetically modified humanized, human chimeras, marmosets, and other new species), mainly small and medium molecules, with the aim of accumulating findings that will be published in the guidelines.
